Intermittent packet loss to some destinations

Resolved At April 08, 2011 16:11

Updated at April 08, 2011 16:11 by Melbourne Support

We have identified a configuration miss-match between the connection on our border router and Cogents border router, which was causing packets to be dropped when the amount of traffic passed over the connection was more substancial.

This configuration has now been corrected, and we have tested running on this provider alone, to ensure we are able to push high amounts of traffic without packet loss.

This issue is now resolved.

We're continuing to mitigate the issue by re-routing the traffic whilst the cause of the issue is diagnosed. We'll update this status when we have further information.

You should not be seeing any impact currently; if you're having any issues please contact support.

We've disabled our uplink to the affected transit provider whilst the issue is assessed further. This should have mitigated any issues. We'll update again before 3pm.
